Description
The CANopen-based Digital Input Module is equipped with 6 Type-3 inputs, offering precise monitoring of digital signals in industrial automation and control systems. Designed for seamless integration into CANopen networks, this module ensures reliable communication and compatibility with a wide range of devices. An OLED status display on the front panel provides real-time feedback on input states and network diagnostics, allowing for quick visual monitoring and troubleshooting.
Engineered for DIN-rail mounting, the module is easy to install and integrates neatly into industrial control panels. Its 6 Type-3 inputs support versatile input types, accommodating a range of sensors and switches for various automation applications. Ideal for demanding environments, this module combines advanced functionality with a compact, rugged design, making it an excellent choice for industrial control and automation systems.
Functionality
- Six Type-3 digital input signals
- CANopen® fieldbus, generic I/O module profile CiA 401
- Configuration via CANopen, control panel or using PC application via micro-USB port
- Possibility for custom firmware with specific signal processing functions
Plug & Play configuration
Out of the box, the device is configured as self-starting to switch to OPERATIONAL state autonomously. The node-ID is programmed to 50 and one TPDO is configured to transmit input changes. This means the device can be used out-of-the-box by listening to ‘raw’ CAN-ID 0x1B2. First and only byte contains 6 bits relating to the respective input signals. (Raw meaning without any CANopen stack or functionality on the receiving end.)
- Automatic switch to NMT state OPERATIONAL
- TPDO1 (CAN-ID 0x180+$NODEID) transmits a byte with 6LSB assigned to the 6 inputs
